These courses are designed for test takers seeking to score higher on the Speaking and Writing sections of their TOEFL exam. Over 10 weeks of rigorous, learner-centered lessons, you will gain the skills and strategies necessary for excellence on test day.

Course objectives:

–  Analyze and respond to complex arguments and questions
– Read and understand academic essays and books 
– Write clearly and persuasively 
– Build foundational academic research and reporting skills
– Become conversant on contemporary issues and debates

Course highlights include: 
– 3 short papers and one final term paper
– Weekly writing assignments
– Seminar-style discussions
– In-class presentations and group-work

Each week we will cover general ideas related to critical thinking, analysis, research, and writing. The course also introduces students to a variety of thought-provoking academic areas, including: cultural studies, ethics, economic development, and education. 

Requirement: Please send a writing sample (Personal Statement preferred) to Ms. Hoa hoa.tran@summit.edu.vn. Your sample should be ideally between 500 and 800 words
