Summit Education Services is pleased to announce the opening of a new course designed to build reading and writing skills that are essential for success on the SAT and similar standardized tests. |
Using source materials drawn from prestigious periodicals, works of literature, and upper-level textbooks, students learn how to read, analyze and write about a wide variety of subjects and gain familiarity with a range of writing styles.
Starts: December 4, 2010
Ends: March 19, 2011
Time: Every Saturday, 6PM-9PM (tentative)
Specific benefits and features of the course include:
– 100% English learning environment
– Early exposure to the SAT
– Focus on skills for the Critical Reading sections, such as:
o Understanding implied meanings
o Understanding tone
o Understanding themes and thematic development
– Detailed feedback and analysis of written essays
– Monthly assessment and progress reports
– Ability to continue directly on to either Summit SAT Master Course or Academic English Course II in March 2011.

Requirements: Interested students will be required to meet with Summit senior members for an assessment of suitability for the course.
