Scholarships

Longwood University offers some scholarship opportunities to entering freshmen who have demonstrated academic excellence.

Eligible students should submit their applications for admission by December 1 to the Office of Admissions to be considered for academic scholarships.

Students who apply for admission by December 1 will be considered for scholarships if they meet additional requirements (no additional application is required). Competition for these scholarships is steep. Students receiving merit-based awards have a GPA above 3.8 and a SAT above 1250.

Students are strongly encouraged to file theFree Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be considered for need-based assistance offered by Longwood University. March 1 is the priority deadline for filing the FAFSA for financial aid consideration.

Please refer to the Financial Aid web site for additional information.
